Wind Farms

We have unparalleled depth of experience consenting wind farms. At the time of writing, we are working on ten proposed wind farms.

Hydro

We have extensive experience with all-things hydro: consenting, re-consenting, planning processes, and RMA compliance/enforcement.

We are currently advising a number of clients on major solar projects throughout the country.

Northport Expansion

We are advising Northport on its proposed container terminal expansion, including reclamation.

Fast-track Consenting

We have considerable experience advising clients on fast-track consenting applications and on fast-track consenting legislative reform.

MACA Act

We have advised a number of coastal infrastructure clients on the Marine and Coastal Area (Takutai Moana) Act 2011.

Planning & Policy Processes

We are routinely involved throughout all stages of planning processes: from submissions and council-level hearings through to Environment Court appeals, mediations, and hearings.

Kaiwaikawe Wind Farm

We advised Mercury through its successful consenting of the 73 MW Kaiwaikawe Wind Farm, north of Dargaville.

Titanium Park
(Hamilton Airport)

We advised the applicants for the 130ha Titanium Park Business Park expansion plan change at Hamilton Airport.

Mangawhai Central

We advised on the Mangawhai Central development – a large mixed use development of a 128ha site north of Auckland.

Proposed New Plymouth District Plan

We have advised one of the country’s largest petroleum companies throughout its involvement in the Proposed New Plymouth District Plan process.

Resource Management Reform

We have advised a number of major clients through the recent resource management reform process.

Kaiwera Downs Wind Farm

We recently assisted Mercury to vary its Kaiwera Downs Wind Farm resource consent conditions to enable larger turbines to be installed for stage 2 of the wind farm.

Graymont Limestone Quarries

We are assisting Graymont with its resource consent application to expand its Oparure Quarry near Te Kuiti, which is the largest single lime quarry in New Zealand.

Whangārei Harbour Dredging

We assisted Channel Infrastructure (formerly Refining NZ) to successfully obtain resource consents for a major coastal dredging project to deepen and realign the Whangārei harbour shipping channel.

Waipipi Wind Farm

We acted for Tilt Renewables in respect of its coastal Waipipi Wind Farm in Taranaki (which is now owned by Mercury).

2degrees

We act for Two Degrees Mobile Limited across a range of policy and project matters.
