We advised on the Mangawhai Central development – a large mixed use development of a 128ha site north of Auckland. The proposal, some of which is now constructed, includes a town centre/main street with a range of retail and commercial services; a business area; and approximately 1,000 residential dwellings, including a retirement village.

Our involvement included obtaining a range of resource consents and a comprehensive plan change for the area. The team was heavily involved in the plan change Environment Court appeals process, coordinating experts in a variety of fields to prepare evidence, and attending several mediation sessions. The Plan Change became operative in 2022.
